Source: Sinotruk Group Corporate Communications Department In a major stride to elevate the performance of heavy-duty commercial vehicles, Sinotruk—China’s leading manufacturer of heavy trucks and automotive components—officially unveiled its new-generation truck component series on August 20, 2025. The launch, held at Sinotruk’s advanced manufacturing base in Jinan, Shandong Province, showcases breakthroughs in fuel efficiency, durability, and smart connectivity, reinforcing the company’s position as a global leader in the commercial vehicle industry.
Cutting-Edge Technology Drives Component Excellence
The new component lineup focuses on three core areas: powertrain systems, chassis parts, and intelligent electronics—all designed to meet the evolving demands of modern logistics and transportation.
High-Efficiency Powertrain Components: The newly developed 13L diesel engine cylinder head and high-torque transmission gearbox reduce fuel consumption by up to 8% compared to previous generations. Made from high-strength alloy materials, these parts undergo 5,000 hours of endurance testing, ensuring a service life of over 1.2 million kilometers—exceeding industry standards by 20%.
Durable Chassis Parts: Sinotruk’s upgraded axle assemblies and suspension systems feature anti-corrosion coatings and reinforced structures, making them suitable for harsh operating conditions such as high-altitude highways and off-road construction sites. Field tests in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Inner Mongolia’s desert regions confirm a 30% reduction in maintenance frequency.
Smart Electronic Components: The integrated IoT sensor module, developed in collaboration with Huawei, enables real-time monitoring of component temperature, pressure, and wear status. This data is transmitted to Sinotruk’s cloud platform, allowing fleet managers to predict maintenance needs and minimize downtime.

Expanded Production Capacity to Meet Global Demand
To support the mass production of the new component series, Sinotruk has invested 2 billion yuan in upgrading its Jinan and Chongqing manufacturing bases. The new production lines, equipped with robotic arms and automated quality inspection systems, have increased annual output capacity by 500,000 units—covering engines, axles, and electronic modules.
“Our new components are not only designed for the Chinese market but also tailored to meet European and Southeast Asian emission standards,” said Mr. Zhang Wei, General Manager of Sinotruk’s Component Business Unit. “We have obtained ECE R110 certification for our powertrain products and are in talks with major fleet operators in Germany, Thailand, and Indonesia to expand our global supply chain.”
In the first half of 2025, Sinotruk’s export volume of truck components increased by 35% year-on-year, with key markets including Southeast Asia (42% of exports) and Eastern Europe (28%).

Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
Aligned with China’s “dual carbon” goals, Sinotruk’s new components prioritize environmental friendliness. The engine cylinder head uses 30% recycled aluminum, while the transmission system adopts low-friction lubricants that reduce carbon emissions by 5g per kilometer. Additionally, the company’s R&D team is developing hydrogen fuel cell components, with a prototype expected to be released in 2026.
